Potter-Thomas School Reviews

The school had a new principal this year. However she went out on leave by Dec. What does this say for a principal in a new position. It just addss to the chaos at this school. The admisitarion doesn't seem very concerned with the discipline problems at the school. If the students were given consequences every time they did something maybe things would change. Sweep the problems under the rug and avoid reporting them to make the school look better doesn't help the studets or the teachers.

The school is poorly run and mismanaged. Parental involvement is not encouraged, and resources are mismanaged. The students in the school are great kids, however many have disciplinary problems that many of the staff does not handle in a productive manner. The potential is there, but the leadership is weak.

The problem here is there is not enough support staff, and classes are overcrowded. Children who are below level are not able to receive the proper attention because teachers are too busy dealing with disciplinary problems.

The school facility is not the greatest but there is a North Atar After School Program and a Summer Freedom School Program that you can enroll your children in for free.

I have three children that goes to this school my children had a great education when they started k. But when they started 1st grade on up everything was not right they was not getting a good education like they was supposed too . It not a great school I would not recomend this school to no one. Then out of all the 8th graders only 8 kids past the test so only 8 kids past to go to high school something is wrong there some has do something I hope they improve by sept.
