Fitzsimons Thomas High School Reviews

No accountability on the principals's behalf (too many broken promises). Most of the teachers don't care whether the students do well or not. I've been told too many times by the teachers what they can't do. My grandson is a special Ed. student. Not enough special Ed. teachers.

definitely not up 2 standard.

I think this school is getting better, my son stareted in December 2006 and at first it had seemed bad but my son got two great teachers who put up with bad behavior and they worked hard to stop it and they are Mrs. Hunter and Mrs. Brownridge.

I think that the school is working on getting better. My son started in November 2006. I have talked to many of the teachers and always get a human when I call. The teachers are quick to get back to me. Unfortunately the school does have low scores. But in defense of the teachers. They spend lots of time dealing with unacceptable behavior. This training begins at home. We as parents need to partner with the teachers and not spend time knocking them down.

I am so very disappointed with the level of care administered by this school. Mr. Jenkins, the principal is quite frankly, all talk and no action. Many of the teachers have no curriculum in place, and no desire to keep parents up to date with the direction they are planning. My son is in the 7th grade. He came from a school with much higher academic scores but unfortunately, due to neighborhood assignments, was stuck to go here. You can NOT reach a live person by phone during the day most of the times and the teachers have so little lack of interest, they don't show for open house! Parents, if you care about your child's success, please don't send them here. I can't even reach the school to obtain the transfer forms to get out! My son will not return next year. Truly disgusted
