The practice has been in existence since 1977 under the ownership of Dr. John Kazmierczak, a graduate of Cornell University. He and his wonderful doctors and staff are dedicated to practicing quality veterinary medicine and are happy to serve the pets and their owners of the Mercer County, New Jersey area. I visited a couple other vets in the area for my two dogs (one who is terminally ill) and finally found a great animal hospital! Everyone at West Trenton Animal Hospital is fantastic! My dogs' vet - Dr. Metzger is wonderful... as is Dr. K. Dr. Metzger makes the pets (and owners) feel comfortable and she's very knowledgeable and truly cares about your pet. She doesn't rush through the appointment like other places and truly takes the time to answer questions/concerns. All of the girls at the front desk are wonderful to deal with as well. If you're looking for a quality vet, I highly recommend West Trenton Animal Hospital.

His expertise: Incomparable! He LISTENS to your problem, does a thorough assessment of your pet and regardless of the situation will offer treatment based on his years of experience and knowledge. His judgment is unsurpassed by other vets because he has the wisdom to treat YOUR pet and YOU as individuals.
Most Admirable: Since I am an R.N. I have had many years dealing with Health Care Providers, including vets, both as a patient and a nurse. I know that a doctor that is intelligent and text book smart, but lacks common sense is useless. The one thing I loved about Dr. K is he not only has expertise in his field but also has a great deal of common sense, which is a priority in the medical profession. His opinion that ultimately was my choice, was ALWAYS on the mark.

I have been going to WTAH since its opening in the mid 1970's. Dr. K and his staff are all wonderful, caring and compassionate people. Dr. K also helps out with the local shelters and several farms in the area. He is the best - always very honest and forthcoming and as kind as you can get!
