We have been to Howell Farm for several field trips. The kids had a lot of fun and learned a lot, too. Their favorite was ice harvesting. We went out onto the pond and cut huge blocks of ice with a saw. In the farmhouse, we got to see how meals were prepared in the 1800s. We also tapped maple trees for syrup and harvested corn.
